How to Microneedle your face
HOW TO MICRONEEDLE THE FACE
Microneedling the face will refine, rejuvenate and renew the complexion. The treatment creates an optimal environment for the body's natural process of repair and renewal. By penetrating the top layer of the skin (the epidermis) causing tiny injuries, this invokes a healing response in the body. These micro channels guide key nutrients to deeper level skin cells amplifying product absorption up to 3 times.
Microneedling supports the skin's ability to produce collagen and elastin, helps improve texture and tone, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, enlarged pores, scars and pigmentation, leaving a firmer, plumper, smoother complexion.
This treatment is designed to strengthen the skin barrier which helps it retain water effectively and maintain hydration. Microneedling will enhance luminosity, revitalise and unlock the rejuvenating power of skin.
If you are new to this treatment or have thinner skin, use the 0.3mm device. You can progress to the 0.5mm when your skin is familiar with the treatment or if you have thicker skin.
All you need to remember are three little words: CLEANSE. ROLL. HYDRATE.
TECHNIQUE FOR MICRONEEDLING
STEP 1 – CLEANSE
Cleanse your face with your favourite cleanser and pat the skin dry. Spritz with our Cleanse + Treat Tonic which is anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. No need to wash off. It’s best to microneedle in the evenings before bed as your skin may be a little flushed afterwards.
Sanitise your roller before and after every use with the complimentary spray provided.
STEP 2 - ROLL
Begin with the forehead. Roll horizontally from right to left, then vertically and finally repeat the action diagonally. Move to the cheeks and repeat the same ‘star’ technique. Next move to the jaw, the nose and across the upper lip. Do not drag the needles across your skin, lift to replace, then roll each section. You can also treat your neck and décolletage. Roll each section 4-5 times to create micro-channels in the epidermis (top layer of your skin). This creates a healing response that encourages collagen and elastin production.
Be gentle with yourself and don't apply too much pressure. Avoid eyelids and lips.
STEP 3 - HYDRATE
Spritz our Cleanse + Treat Tonic to calm and restore the skin. Drench your skin with Hyaluronic Acid or Peptide serum for an intensely hydrated fresh complexion. If your skin is drier, apply a light layer of moisturiser.
Once a week, treat your skin to a Bio-Cellulose sheet mask packed with rich hydrating ingredients.
You can also use a mild Vitamin A/Retinol if your skin tolerates this. Avoid harsh products such as scrubs, AHA's (glycolic acid) and active ingredients like Vitamin C, this can be applied the following morning.
You may feel your products tingle or "spike” after application. This is a normal sensation. If irritation develops, discontinue use or use less frequently.
Repeat 2 times a week. Replace the device every 4 months.
Store device in the protective case for safe keeping until next treatment.
